Track #5 on Disc Two 'Yours Faithfully' of the album is called MEMC. The first 2 verses of this track were written by a good friend of mine, John Lacey. What is humbling about the words he writes is that he wrote them soon after being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Kat & I have found it a priviledge to take John’s words and create a track which we believe is something very special.
John leaves us with a huge legacy and with a challenge to “Make Every Moment Count.” John was an amazing man of God. He was respected and loved by many for his generosity, love for the marginalised and his passion to illuminate the minds of people who were void of a relationship with God. John's faith, especially during his illness, even caused non- Christians to pray. John was certainly not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ and when people asked if there was anything they could do to help, John's immediate response was 'Pray.'
This track, and in fact this entire album, is dedicated to my friend John Lacey. It is because of his generosity, that you are able to hear and experience this album. John believed in this project, he believed in me and more importantly, in God at work in me, to produce an album that will impact the lives of many, God willing, with the truth.
